Footballers at our school have a fantastic new kit
Footballers at our school now have a fantastic new kit thanks to the support of a local company.
The team at J&S Jetting in Wisbech have stepped in with a sponsorship deal which means our footballers have a new look when they represent us.
“We have entered the county cup this year for boys and girls to increase the opportunities we provide for students. Football is our national sport and our students love representing our school.
“We now have three beautiful kits that students can be proud of, and want to be using them regularly so students can gain all the benefits that playing a team sport can bring,” said Dominic Stannard, head of character and culture.
In the County Cup run, Marshland’s Year 7 boys lost to King Edward VII Academy (King’s Lynn) on penalties after drawing 2-2; Year 8 boys lost to Wymondham High 8-2; Year 9 boys beat Thetford Grammar 13-0 and then Langley Football Academy 2-1. The Langley team is coached by former Norwich City player Grant Holt. The Year 10 boys lost to Attleborough 7-0 and the U14 girls team beat Heatherset Academy 4-1 and then lost to Aylsham 3-2.
The teams have also played local schools, including Springwood High School, Downham High School, Thomas Clarkson Academy in Wisbech and King Edward VII in Lynn.
