Marshland High celebrates excellent GCSE results

Students at Marshland High School were today celebrating another excellent set of examination results.

Headteacher Craig Jansen said students did very well within their academic subjects of maths, English, science, history and geography.

He continued: “Our students have once again performed to a high standard across the subjects they have studied. In many instances, our students have achieved above their predictions."

Mr Jansen added: “We have a strong focus on supporting all our students to achieve highly ensuring they are able to successfully transition into post-16 education.

"We are equally delighted with the superb outcomes achieved by our students within our other suite of GCSE’s, for example, Film Studies, 3D Design, Art, Photography to name but a few.”

Marshland is a member of the West Norfolk Academies Trust.

Mr Jansen continued: “Inspectors, in their recent Ofsted report of our school, recognised a strong work ethic within our students that contributed to them achieving well within public examinations.

"The outcomes of our students' GCSEs results this year is yet again evidence of their hard work and commitment. The dedicated support and care provided by our staff is also instrumental to this success."

Steve Cozens, Chair of Governors, added: “Our governors are incredibly proud of the results achieved by our students, supported by our staff.

"I wish all our students the very best with the next stage of their education”.
