British Values
The Government emphasises that schools are required to ensure that key ‘British Values’ are taught in all UK schools.
At Marshland High School we fully support, promote and embrace the British values the government set out in the 2011 Prevent Strategy, and they are defined as follows:
- Democracy
- The rule of law
- Individual liberty
- Mutual Respect for and Tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith
British values are taught through all subject areas but especially in Skills for Life, assemblies and through the tutor time programme.
